The European Commission has referred Ireland (INFR(2022)2121), Bulgaria (INFR(2022)2113) and Portugal (INFR(2022)2129) to the Court of Justice of the European Union for failing to comply with certain obligations from the Regulation on the dissemination of terrorist content online ("TCO Regulation").

The European Commission decided to open an infringement procedure by sending a letter of formal notice to Ireland (INFR(2025)2053) for failing to comply with certain obligations under the Regulation on the marketing and use of explosives precursors (Regulation (EU) 2019/1148).

On Wednesday 11th June, the Institute of International and European Affairs, in partnership with the European Commission Representation in Ireland, held a public event to raise awareness and understanding of the EU White Paper for Defence Readiness 2030.
